GPS track attachments ?

I just posted the report+attachment and then successfully downloaded the attached gpx file so all seems well. Thanks for your help. Jack

I had hoped to attach an edited GPS track of my Carrizo Trail hike to
a trail conditions report, since the actual track differs somewhat
from that on maps. But the software will not let me, telling me that
a ".gpx" file extension is not allowed. That is simply a text file
but I thought perhaps the extension was too exotic, so I renamed the
file to add a ".txt" tail but the software also rejects that
extension. Are only images supposed to be attached ?? Having
available GPS traces of actual hikes could be very useful given the
fact, particularly post-fire, that the actual trail is often obscure.
